The Finance Committee is meeting 05/24/2021 at 5:30pm.
They will be voting on awarding various street, sewer, and water construction/reconstruction projects to various companies.
They’ll also be reviewing and voting on a budget amendment to “to purchase land for future Spartan Drive and associated stormwater management”. Per Director Paula Vandehey’s memo, they want to purchase the land for the 70-foot right-of-way and for the associated stormwater management. They were planning to make the purchase in 2022, but the City Attorney’s Office is recommending they do it now because of the volatility of the market and the impact that volatility may have on the validity of the appraisals they just had done.
