The Finance Committee is meeting 04/26/2021 at 5:30.
They’ll be doing some organizational things such as electing a vice-chair and setting meeting day/time.
They’ll be updated on a couple of informational items including some budget adjustments.
There are also several projects they’ll be voting on including
(1) A budget adjustment related to TDS’s ongoing fiber optics installation project
(2) The contract to replace the roofs on the pavilions at Talulah and Schaefer Parks and on the Vulcan Hydroelectric Replica Building [I still remember the time they replaced the windows in the hydroelectric replica building with seeded glass (which is not cheap) and two weeks later all the windows were broken and a few weeks after that they were replaced with plexiglass. Presumably a roof replacement won’t have that issue.]
They’ll also be voting on a couple projects city staff is advising them to postpone.
(1) A sewer and water project at Lightning and Edgewood that had issues with the three lowest contract bidders and
(2) Various utilities projects that have ongoing planning issues.
