The preliminary hearing in the Gutenberger child abuse case happened 04/23/2021. Although the Gutenbergers lived in Shawano and the case is being tried in Shawano, they attended church here in Appleton and the pastors of their church have been accused by a former parishioner of covering up the abuse and pressuring her to not report it. I was told by someone who attended the hearing that Lisa Gutenberger has lost a lot of weight and looks a lot older. I was also told that the boy who had been abused very bravely appeared in the courtroom and looked healthy.
The arraignment has been scheduled for 07/12/2021.
