The Board of Health is meeting 03/10/2021 at 7am.
There are two action items. One is a noise variance request from the Department of Public Works. They’re going to be working on water and sewer lines this spring/summer. They’re asking to be able to work during the night in some locations so they don’t have to shut off water to restaurants, businesses, and churches during the day when it would most likely cause harm to their business.
There is also a proposed code addition needed to clarify the city code surrounding the health department’s oversight of taverns that do not serve food.
There will also be a Covid update. It looks like the number of vaccinations given has dropped off in recent weeks. I don’t know if this is simply due to a lack of supply or if there are other factors also.
They will also be giving the 4th quarter report. It appears that services outside of coronavirus related matters stayed low.
Complaints regarding restaurants were up as were consultations with restaraunts and swimming pools–no doubt due to coronavirus.
