Municipal Services Committee Meeting On 01/25/2021

The Municipal Services Committee is meeting 01/25/2021 at 4:30pm. On the agenda…

They’ll be voting on a resolution to allow the city of Appleton to negotiate with Outagamie County over the development and use of a proposed landfill.

Appleton Downtown Inc. is requesting a permit to display ice sculptures along College Avenue in February.

They’ll be voting on a $12,000 1 year extension to a contract with Alta Planning & Design to provide bicycle and pedestrian engineering on-call consulting services.

They’ll also be voting on approving an agreement to give the city the right to install a pedestrian crossing at the Locust/Lawrence train track.

They’ll also be reviewing the 2019 annual crash statistics. (This was the report that showed a massive number of crashes happening at the Northland/Richmond Roundabout which prompted me to find out what the statistics were before and after the roundabout was installed.)

It also looks like the city is going to trial run having people pay to park in Soldier Square only through the mobile payment app.
