On 12/20/2021 Appleton recorded 15 confirmed coronavirus cases and 14 probable. Active cases rose by 5 to 298. Cases out of isolation increased by 24 to 13,756. Deaths remained unchanged at 77.
Appleton’s current 7-day running average of confirmed cases is 30.14 as compared to 25.71 on this day last year. The 7-day running average of confirmed and probable cases is 51.14 as compared to 33.57 on this day last year. Appleton currently has 298 active cases as compared to 553 on this day last year. Last year between March 18 and December 20, Appleton had 50 deaths with/from coronavirus as compared to 14 such deaths during that same timeframe this year. As posted earlier, deaths this year are less than a third of what they were last year.
