Library Board Meeting 12/14/2021 – Will Receive Library Project Update

The Library Board is meeting 12/14/2021 at 4:30PM.

Action items include voting on the November bill register and the 2022 budget.

There is also a table of organization change request that, if approved, would have to library’s Safety Supervisor report to the Business Manager instead of the Assistant Director.

They will also be voting to approve the 2022 Service Agreement between the Outagamie Waupaca Library System and the Appleton Public Library.

They will also be reviewing a number of information including a Library Project Update. The memo in the agenda packet reiterates that although the cost of the library is estimated to be approximately $39 million, the City of Appleton’s commitment will remain at $26.4 million. Per the memo, “Staff are working to determine the remaining funding to provide a diverse funding package for this project including grants and fundraising. The Friends of Appleton Public Library are conducting a feasibility study to determine potential for private fundraising.”
