Coronavirus Numbers For 10/22/2021-10/24/2021

From 10/22/2021 to 10/24/2021 Appleton recorded 58 confirmed coronavirus cases and 18 probable cases. (The dashboard only shows the daily increase, so I have noted on the screenshot was the weekend total was.) Active cases rose by 49 to 313. Cases out of isolation increased by 27 to 10,876. Deaths remained unchanged at 70.

Appleton’s currently 7-day running average of confirmed cases is 20.86 and of confirmed and probable cases is 29.43. This compares to a 7-day running average of confirmed cases on this day last year of 69.71. (Appleton did not start recording probable cases until 11/23/2020.) Appleton currently has 313 active cases as compared to 745 on this day last year. Last year between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded case) and October 24, Appleton recorded 21 deaths with/from coronavirus as compared to 7 deaths during that same timeframe this year.

During the last week, Appleton recorded 146 total confirmed cases and 60 total probable cases. Last week they had a total of 166 confirmed cases and 80 probable. That places our two week burden per 100,000 people at 416 when calculated using only confirmed cases and 603 when including probable cases. Both of those are in the “Very High” category.

As of 10/24/2021, 0.42% (less than half of 1%) of Appleton residents have an active case of coronavirus. 14.5% of residents have recovered from coronavirus. 0.09% have died with/from coronavirus. 84.99% have either not had coronavirus or not had a case that was bad enough to require testing.
