Parks And Recreation Committee Meeting 10/25/2021 – Will Receive Lundgaard Park Presentation, Vote On Mead Pool Condition Analysis Contract

The Parks and Recreation Committee is meeting 10/25/2021 at 6:30PM.

They will be receiving a presentation on the Lundgaard Park master plan. It will have firefighter themed equipment, a small splash pad, and a sculpture of some sort honoring Appleton’s four fallen fire fighters.

The committee has one action item which is to award the Mead Pool Condition Anaylsis Project to GRAEF. GRAEF bid around $1,000 more for the project than the other company that submitted a bid; however, staff is recommending going with them because they have “allotted more time to the project, placing a higher emphasis on electrical, plumbing, structural, and aquatic mechanical. GRAEF also offers a platform for applying ratings to equipment and systems based on severity, probability of occurrence, criticality, lifespan, energy efficiency, and redundancy.”

The committee will also be reviewing Reid Golf Course’s Revenue and Expense report for September and the proposed 2022 Parks and Recreation budget as well as receiving an update on park projects.
