The AASD Board of Education is holding a special meeting on 12/03/2020 to start the process of filling the seat left vacant by Leah Olson’s resignation.

It looks like the Board is encouraged to fill vacancies within 60 days, but there are also procedures for filling them after 60 days so it seems to me the 60 day window is a recommendation but not a requirement.
Anyone who meets the statutory requirements to serve on the Board can apply.
