Editing Error Led To Alderperson Being Incorrectly Listed As Resolution Sponsor

While I recognize that this isn’t a hugely important thing, I was curious as to how Alderperson Brad Firkus (District 3) was incorrectly listed as a co-sponsor of the Afghani Resettlement Resolution when he hadn’t even seen the text of the resolution yet.

I reached out to Alderperson Alex Schultz (District 9) who is the main sponsor of the resolution. It turns out it was just an editing mistake. Per Alderperson Schultz, “I was editing both resolutions for final read in at Council throughout the day Wednesday, as other co-sponsors were confirming sign-on. I mistakenly added Brad to both Resolutions, not just the Noise code amendment he supported.”
