The Library Board is meeting 05/18/2021 at 4:30 PM.
They will be welcoming Alderperson Katie Van Zeeland (District 5) as the new City Council representative on the Library Board of Trustees. She is replacing Alderperson William Sieber (District 1) who served in that capacity last year.
The Board will be voting on approving the April bill register and on approving President Rebecca Kellner’s appointments to the Library Board Nominating Committee. Per Rebecca Kellner’s memo, “This committee shall present a slate of officers (President, Vice President, and Secretary) at the organizational meeting which will occur in August. No officer may serve more than two consecutive terms in a given office nor hold more than one office at a time. Additional nominations may be made from the floor during the organizational meeting by any Library Board member or officer.”
There will also be several information items. Highlights include a building process update, and update on the American Rescue Plan Act Funds and Build America’s Library Act, and trustee training.
