The Appleton Area School District Board of Education is meeting 04/26/2021 at 6PM.

This will be the first meeting that Ed Ruffolo will be participating in as a Board member. They will be electing Board officers and appointing a CESA 6 Representative and a WASB Delegate. The Board members will all also be reciting the Board of Education member commitment.

There will be a Safe and Resilient Report.

Possibly of particular interest is the winter i-Ready diagnostic update.

They will also be reviewing and then voting on the updated draft of the school facility naming policy. The updated draft still gives no guidance as to what are and are not appropriate reasons to remove a person’s name from a school, building, or facility.

They will also be voting on the contract renewals for Fox Cities Leadership Academy and Stephen Foster Elementary. These renewals were put on hold at the last meeting because not all Board members had access to all of the information needed to make a decision.
