Ed Ruffolo Campaign Event Takes Place After He Said He Wouldn’t Campaign

The Board of Education race seems to have taken a curious turn. As you may remember, Ed Ruffolo is on the ballot but he told the Post Crescent he did not plan to do any campaigning. In fact he unsuccessfully tried to remove himself from the ballot after he was caught publicly following erotica pages on Facebook.

In spite of his statement that he did not plan to campaign, it has come to my attention that a virtual house party was held for candidate Ed Ruffolo tonight, March 3. AASD employee Laurie McCulloch posted publicly about the event, encouraging people to vote for Ed. She also left a comment below the post that suggests that Board of Education member Jim Bowman was somehow involved.

I have reached out to both Mr. Ruffolo and Mr. Bowman and will let you know when I learn more information.
