The Appleton Public Arts Committee will be meeting 09/03/2025 at 8AM.
They have two action items on their agenda.
The first is a request to approve updates to the Art in Public Places Policy. The updates would make the Public Arts Committee responsible for reviewing the aesthetics of banners rather than the Community Development Department and the City Plan Commission. Additionally, now that the policy has been several times for submitted projects, city staff has had an opportunity to see how it works and are recommending tweaks in language to improve the efficiency of the policy.

The second is a request to approve a request from Appleton Northside Business Association to place banners and holiday décor on the light poles along Richmond Street between Northland and College and along Wisconsin Avenue between Badger and Ballard.
