Mayor Woodford: Good evening. I now call to order the Wednesday, August 20, 2025 meeting of the Appleton Common Council. Please rise for the invocation, which will be delivered by Alder Jones.

Alderperson Vaya Jones (District 10): Good evening. As we gather tonight, let us take a moment to center ourselves in gratitude and purpose. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve this community, to listen and to work together for the good of all who call Appleton home. May we approach our discussions with open minds, respectful hearts, and a spirit of collaboration. May our decisions tonight reflect wisdom, compassion, and fairness, keeping in mind both the needs of today and the hope for future generations. Let us also remember the many people who make our city thrive, our families, our friends, our neighbors, and may we honor their trust through our service. With humility and resolve, let us begin.
