The Finance Committee is meeting 08/25/2025 at 5:30PM.
They will be receiving a presentation from Leah Lasecki, a CPA with CliftonLarsenAllen, LLP, on the results of the city’s 2024 audit.
They also have two action items on the agenda.
The first is a request to award to 2025 Parks Hardscape Replacement Project contract to Northeast Asphalt Inc for a total not to exceed $153,004.06. This item includes a transfer of $441,782,49 from the Reid Golf Course reserves to fully fund the repavement of the Reid Golf Course cart paths.
The second is a request to approve an increase of $13,600 to the Mackville quarry grading and capping project contract. This will cover the cost of installing a culvert pipe beneath the access road in order to eliminate ponding of stormwater and redirect water away from the access road.
As an information item, they will be reviewing the request for proposal to secure a consultant to create a Sustainability and Resiliency Master Plan. Per the memo, “This plan will serve as a roadmap to achieve our emissions goals, strengthen climate resilience, and coordinate projects across City departments.”
This is the result of the Common Council’s action back in May of this year to take $107,000 left over from a 2024 park pavilion roofing project and use it to hire a consultant to create a climate action plan for the city.
