The Common Council is meeting 07/16/2025 at 7PM.
Mayor Woodford will be presenting the 2025 Flag Day Parade awards.
Clerk Kami Lynch recently resigned to take a job with University of Wisconsin, and the Common Council will be voting on a recommendation from Mayor Jake Woodford to appoint current Deputy City Clerk Amy Molitor to the position of City Clerk.
Because the Common Council did not meet the week of July 4, they also have two weeks’ worth of committee items to vote on. Although there are quite a few items on the agenda, none of them stand out to me as particularly controversial or discussion-worthy. It is possible that nothing will be separated out except for possibly the installation of the parklet on Washington Street on which Alderperson Alex Schultz (District 9) abstained from voting when it was before the Municipal Services Committee meeting.
