Public Arts Committee Meeting 07/02/2025 – Will Vote On Request To Install Temporary Sculpture Made Out Of Pinecones In Veterans Memorial Park

The Appleton Public Arts Committee is meeting 07/02/2025 at 8AM.

They have one item on the agenda which is request from Hannan Ohayon, this quarter’s Resident of the Appleton Public Library’s Artist-In-Residence program, to install a temporary, natural sculpture in the newly named Veterans Memorial Park. The sculpture will consist of pinecones “placed on the ground in a concentric or spiral pattern.” She plans to do this in conjunction with a public workshop being held in the park on 07/24/2025 from 5:30PM to 7:30PM.
