The Fox Cities Transit Commission is meeting 05/27/2025 at 2:50PM.
The item probably of most interest to the public is that they will be voting on a request for authorization to execute an offer to purchase the vacant lot at 222 N Oneida Street which is adjacent to the downtown transit center and is necessary for the construction of a new transit center.
Valley Transit already has an accepted Offer to Purchase and now wants to go ahead an finalize the transaction.
Valley Transit staff is also seeking approval of updates to the Title VI program.
As information items, the commission will be receiving the April Financial and Ridership reports. Ridership continues to be down. It’s down by over 11,000 compared to April of 2024 and 47,000 year-to-date compared to January through April of 2024. Ridership in April was down over 36,000 compared to April of 2019 (before Covid) and over 130,000 compared to January through April of 2019.
