Two Mayoral Proclamations Presented At 05/21/2025 Common Council Meeting – Drinking Water Week And Hmong American Day

Yesterday evening during the 05/21/2025 Common Council meeting, two mayoral proclamations were presented.

With the first, Mayor Woodford proclaimed May 4-10, 2025 to be Drinking Water Week in Appleton. Although proclamations usually include at the end a request or encouragement for residents to engage in some sort of action, this proclamation includes no such enjoinder.

With the second he proclaimed May 14, 2025 to be Hmong American Day in Appleton and invited people “to join us in commemorating this day and formally recognizing and celebrating the history, culture, and contributions of Hmong Americans in Appleton and other cities throughout Wisconsin.”
