The Human Resources and Information Technology Committee is meeting 04/23/2025 at 6:30PM. This will be the first meeting the committee has had since 12/11/2024.
They will be electing a Vice Chair, setting the meeting date and time, and designating a contact person for the committee. Beyond that, they have 3 action items.
The first is a request to approve changes to the table of organization for the Community Development Department. They would like to move an Administration Assistant grade 4 position to an Administrative and Accounting Services Specialist grade 6 position. This change reflects the increased level or responsibility and duties already being performed by this employee due to the expansion of the Department. Per the memo, this year the increased salary cost “will be funded within the department’s existing personnel-related funds due to savings realized this fiscal year.”

The second is a request to approve the city’s Social Media Policy. This looks like it is a new policy.


The third is a request to approve changes to the Fringe Benefits Policy. The changes pertain to vacations and leave of absence.
They will also be receiving multiple information items including updates on the city’s Enterprise Resource Planning program conversion, the Police Department Staffing Study, Valley Transit’s staffing, and Fire Department negotiations. They will also review the most recent recruitment status report.
