The Finance Committee is meeting 03/24/2025 at 5:30PM.
They have a lot of action items but none of them look particularly controversial or likely to generate a lot of discussion.
There is the annual 2024-2025 budget carryover request, some contracts for routine annual infrastructure projects, and some change orders.
They will be voting on a request to approve the acceptance of $618,975 from the DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program to help pay for the replacement of private lead service lines in Appleton. It is considered a loan, but it has 100% principal forgiveness, so it should not cost the city anything.
They will also be voting on a request to awarded the contract for the Appleton Wastewater Treatment Plant hardscapes and truck scale project to Vinton Construction Company for a total amount including contingency of $1,575,628. Part of this will be paid by a budget carryover of $682,228 in left over funds from the Sludge Storage Building Addition Project.
