The Appleton Area School District Board of Education is meeting 02/22/2021.
They were originally going to be voting on whether or not to rename Lincoln Elementary Ronald C. Dunlap Elementary School – Home of the Lincoln Lions, but, as posted, that is on hold due to inadequacies in their current policy surrounding naming district facilities.
They will still be having a special presentation regarding Mr. Dunlap, and there will be a summary of the public feedback the Board received regarding the proposed name change.
As always, Superintendent Judy Baseman and members of the leadership team will be giving the Safe and Resilient Return report.
There is:
1 new educator hire–a special education instructor at Madison.
1 professional educator contract change–an art teacher at Foster Elementary is moving from 100% Full Time Equivalent to 110% FTE
2 educator resignations
2 administrator retirements
1 administrative transfer–David Pynenberg is moving from being the principal at Appleton North High School to being the Director of Human Resources at AASD
