Appleton Area School District Board Of Education Meeting 10/28/2024 – Will Vote To Adopt 2025 Budget And Certify The 2025 Levy Limit

The Appleton Area School District Board of Education is holding a public hearing on the 2025 budget at 6PM and then will be meeting 10/28/2024 at 6:45PM or whenever the public hearing is over, whichever comes later.

The Board will be voting to adopt the 2025 budget and certify the 2025 levy limit.

They will also be discussing the process and criteria for setting the attendance boundaries for the new Sandy Slope Elementary School that will be opening in the fall of 2025.

They will also be voting to update, revise, or remove a number of school policies. Earlier this year, they hired a contractor to conduct a policy audit of the district’s existing policy, so that they could bring them into alignment with each other and with state law. They will not be voting to make various recommended updates and changes.

They will also be voting on curriculum for high school mathematics and 12th grade 21st century literature.
