The Fox Cities Transit Commission is meeting 02/20/2023 at 3PM. They have three action items on the agenda.
One is a request to approve the acceptance of $3.4 million in ARPA grants and $32,000 in Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act grants. Per the memo from Valley Transit General Manager Ron McDonald, “Valley Transit is allowed to use the funds for capital and operating projects. We intend to use the funds for capital projects included in the 2023 budget with any remaining funds put towards approved projects in the 2024 budget.”
The commission will also be voting on two items related to the Whitman Avenue facility remodeling project.
The first is a request to approve a $6.7 million contract with a 5% contingency with SMA Construction Services for Phase 1 of the remodel.
The second is a request to seek $9.6 million in federal funding and $2.4 in local funding for Phase 2 of the remodel project.
The commission will also be receiving reports on the VTII service, January financials, and January ridership statistics.
