The Finance Committee is meeting 10/10/2022 at 5:30PM.
There are several city project contracts they have been requested to approve and one that staff is requesting they reject. Regarding the bids they are asked to reject, the city had $423,700 allocated for the project but the lowest bid came in at $643,000. Per the memo, “Contributing factors for higher bid costs appear to be the result of lingering supply chain issues, sustained high demand for various products and services, elevated costs for construction materials, and higher costs for labor.”
The committee will also be voting on a 2022 budget amendment to transfer sidewalk costs from the Public Works Capital Project Fund to the Facilities Capital Project Fund.
Finally, the committee will receive informational update on a number of what look to be minor financial items including a donation of a park bench and some contract changes.
