As some of you may recall, there were some fireworks at the 12/08/2020 Fox Cities Transit Commission meeting.
As I wrote in December, “Commission member Daniel Wilson was concerned that Valley Transit has not been following the correct procedures when making purchases of Covid-related supplies and that the Covid grant fund is essentially being used as a slush fund with little oversight into expenditures made from it.”
I checked in with Valley Transit General Manager Ron McDonald and asked him what steps had been taken to address the concerns Dan Wilson raised.
Mr. McDonald replied, “The concerns voiced by Mr. Wilson were addressed at the Fox Cities Transit Commission meeting. In addition, I invited all Fox Cities Transit Commissioners to contact me directly with any questions or concerns.”
I have also been informed by Mr. McDonald that “Dan is no longer a member of the Fox Cities Transit Commission.”
Dan’s term on the Commission ran until 06/01/2025 so he appears to have resigned.
I am still waiting to receive a copy of his resignation letter if he wrote one, but I don’t think it too crazy to guess that his departure from the Transit Commission is related to the concerns he raised at the 12/08/2020 Transit Commission meeting.
