Mayor To Present 4 Proclamations To Common Council – Childhood Cancer Awareness, Hispanic Heritage Month, Rail Safety Week, And Senior Center Month

This evening during the Common Council meeting, Mayor Woodford will be presenting 4 mayoral proclamations.

With the first, he proclaims September to be Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Appleton and encourages “all citizens to observe Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support research to cure this disease that so deeply impacts families in every community.”

With the second, he proclaims September 15 through October 15 to be Hispanic Heritage Month in Appleton and calls “upon residents to reflect on and honor the traditions and countless artistic, scientific, political, and cultural contributions of all Hispanic residents.”

With the third he proclaims September 19-25, 2022 to be Rail Safety Week in Appleton and encourages “all residents to recognize the importance of rail safety education.”

With the fourth and final proclamation he declares September to be Senior Center Month and encourages “all citizens to recognize the important contributions of senior centers in the Fox Cities, and to support the efforts of senior centers through philanthropy and volunteerism.”
