The Parks and Recreation Committee is meeting 08/08/2022 at 6:30PM.
The agenda is relatively brief with only two action items and one routine information item, but the meeting will probably still take some time because the first action item is the Sustainability and Climate Resilience Advisory Panel Resolution. If passed, this resolution would create a Sustainability and Climate Resilience Advisory Panel which would “act as an advisory group to the Mayor, City Department Directors, and the Common Council providing feedback and advice on a range of matters related to sustainability, climate action, and resiliency.” The committee would also “provide advisory input on active proposals as they are being advanced and implemented by the City through legislation, executive orders, policy changes, and practices”, including, amongst other things, reviewing city plans, ordinances, actions, policies, and budgeting processes.
The one information item is the July 2022 Reid Golf Course report. It looks like, year to date, Reid’s has surpassed its revenue at this point last year which was itself a record-setting year.
