Mayor Woodford To Present Two Proclamations During 08/03/2022 Common Council Meeting – Breastfeeding Awareness Month And Creative Economy Week

During the 08/03/2022 Common Council meeting, Mayor Woodford will be presenting 2 mayoral proclamations.

With the first, he proclaims August 2022 to be Breastfeeding Awareness Month in Appleton and encourages “citizens to join healthcare and breastfeeding advocates in celebrating and promoting awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding and supporting parents in doing so.”

[I don’t often comment on proclamations but, particularly given the state of the economy and the ongoing formula shortage, breastfeeding makes a lot of sense if you’re able to do it.]

With the second, he proclaims the week of August 1-7, 2022, to be Creative Economy Week in Appleton “to celebrate and promote the arts, creativity, and vitality in and for our community.”
