The Finance Committee is meeting 08/11/2025 at 5:30PM.
They have five action items on the agenda.
The first is the annual request to reimburse Riverside Cemetery Association for the maintenance of veteran graves.
The second is a request to approve the special assessment policy for 2026 setting what items will and will not have special assessments levied and what percentage of the total cost those special assessments will be.
The third is a request to approve a $350,113 sole source contract with Nordon Business Environments for the purchase of new workstations for the Community Development and Assessor spaces. The city uses Haworth workstations and Nordon is the only local supplier of Haworth products. The $350,113 will cover the cost of the new workstations and their installation as well as the removal and disposal of the old workstations.

The fourth is a request to award the Mead Pool Coating and ADA Upgrades Project contract to Cardinal Construction for a total including contingent of $454,458. This is about $145,000 higher than available budgeted funds and the difference will be paid by moving $144,878 from the 2025 Parks Hardscapes budget to the pool project.

The fifth is a request to approve a budget amendment taking roughly $20,000 from the 2024 Aeration Process Upgrades project to cover the cost of purchasing a phosphorous analyzer. The city had originally budgeted $30,000 to purchase a phosphorus analyzer but it ended up being almost $50,000.

They also have a number of information items which, among other things, include contract updates and the 2025 Mid-Year Risk Report.
