The City Plan Commission is meeting 07/23/2025 at 3:30PM.
They will be holding a public hearing and voting on a rezoning land near French Road and Apple Creek Road from Agricultural to a variety of zoning districts including R-1B Single-family, P-I Public Institutional, and R-3 Multi-family. The section zoned R-1B is planned to be divided into two future subdivisions one with 141 lots and one with 126 lots. The section zoned P-I is related to a future parkland land dedication. The section zoned R-3 is intended for an anticipated multi-family development project.
Associated with that rezoning, they will be voting on a preliminary plat for one of the subdivisions proposed for that area.
They will be holding a public hearing and voting on text and map amendments to Article X Floodplain Zoning of Chapter 23 of the Municipal Code.
They will also be holding a public hearing and voting on a special use permit for an automobile, RV, truck, cycle, and boat sales and display lot on Winslow Avenue.
They also have a couple of items that do no require public hearings. Those include a preliminary plat for a subdivision near French Road and Aquamarine Avenue and a request for a street discontinuance to vacate a portion of the N. Oneida Street right-of-way and all of the unnamed historic alley right-of-way. This is related to the Valley Transit Center project.
