Alderperson Nate Wolff’s Invocation At 06/18/2025 Common Council Meeting – “We have to maintain a level of decency towards one another and not always think the worst of each other”

Mayor Woodford: Good evening. I now call to order the Wednesday, June 18, 2025 meeting of the Appleton Common Council. Please rise for the invocation, which will be delivered by Alder Wolff.

Alderperson Nate Wolff (District 12): Thank you. Tonight, I would like to send our condolences to the families of the assembly rep, her husband and their pets, who were all shot and killed last week, as well as the other family who was also wounded, and the families of the people who were wounded during the protests of last week during political violence.

Recently, I put out a video talking about how it’s important for us to maintain a level of trying to not fall into the trap of looking at each other as the other. We have to maintain a level of decency towards one another and not always think the worst of each other, and I hope our community and other communities across the nation can try to work with one another to come together as a nation in these very divisive times. Thank you.
