Mayor Woodford will be presenting 8 mayoral proclamations during the 06/04/2025 Common Council meeting.
With the first, he proclaims June 1 – 7, 2025 to be CPR & AED Awareness Week in Appleton and calls “upon citizens to practice the two-step hands-only CPR method and be aware of the CPR and AED educational opportunities available in our community.”

With the second, he proclaims June 6, 2025 to be Gun Violence Awareness Day in Appleton and asks “all citizens to renew their commitment to reduce gun violence, encourage responsible gun ownership, and to wear orange on June 6th to honor and remember all victims and survivors of gun violence and to raise awareness about gun violence.”

With the third, he proclaims June 7, 2025 to be Juneteenth Celebration Day in Appleton and encourages “all citizens to join in the commemoration and celebration of this historic day.”

With the fourth, he proclaims June 21, 2025 to be Make Music Day Appleton and encourages “all residents to join in the celebration of this event.”

With the fifth he proclaims June 16-22, 2025 to be Pollinator Week in Appleton and calls “upon all residents to join me in celebrating the significance of pollinators with appropriate observances and activities.”

With the sixth, he proclaims June 2025 to be Pride Month in Appleton and urges “all citizens to honor, celebrate, and promote equal rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.”

With the seventh, he proclaims June 20, 2025 to be Refugee Day in Appleton and encourages “all residents to take pride in our longstanding role as a community that welcomes and supports refugees, and to join me in honoring refugees by recognizing the hardships they have encountered, the new lives they have built, and the positive contributions they make to our City.”

With the eighth, he proclaims June 2025 to be Schleroderma [sic] Awareness Month in Appleton and encourages “residents to wear teal for the month of June to increase awareness and to educate the medical community and public in support of scleroderma awareness and to participate in scleroderma awareness-related events.”
