Mayor Woodford will be presenting 5 proclamations during the 04/16/2025 Council meeting.
With the first, he proclaims April 22, 2025 to be Earth Day in Appleton and encourages “residents, businesses, and institutions to celebrate the Earth and promote the protection of our species and environment.”
With the second, he proclaims April 25, 2025 to be Arbor Day in Appleton and encourages “residents to celebrate Arbor Day, support efforts to protect our trees and woodlands, and plan trees to gladden the heart and promote the wellbeing of this and future generations.”
With the third, he proclaims April 2025 to be Autism Acceptance Month in Appleton and encourages “residents to participate in programs and outreach efforts aimed toward educating and supporting ASD awareness.”
With the fourth, he proclaims April 5, 2025 to be Golden Rule Day in Appleton and encourages “all residents to adhere to the Golden Rule, treating others the way they wish to be treated.”
With the fifth, he proclaims April 17, 2025 to be Hemophilia Awareness Day in Appleton and encourages “residents to recognize that individuals with hemophilia depend [on] our community blood supply, blood products, and blood safety.”
With the sixth, he proclaims the week of April 7-13, 2025 to be Public Health Week in Appleton and encourages “residents to celebrate Public Health Week and the work of those dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of all people in our community.”
