The Municipal Services Committee is meeting 02/24/2025 at 4:30PM.
They will be receiving a final report on the College Avenue lane reconfiguration and voting on a request to approve the changes. Crashes are down by 12.7% and overall speed of vehicles has decreased slightly since the lanes have been reconfigured.
They will vote on changes to the Public Works 2025 fee schedule. The changes would increase weekly garbage cart fees by $0.05 – $0.15 and add a $70 water tap inspection fee. This item was previously recommended for approval with no discussion but then referred back to the committee by Alderperson Sheri Hartzheim (District 13) who indicated she had some questions.
They will be voting on preliminary resolutions related to sidewalk and underground utility work scheduled for 2025.
Finally, they will be voting on two items related to the Olde Oneida bridge. One is a request to award a $308,787 sole source contract for design and construction services related to the bridge.
The other is a request to amend a contract between the city, WisDOT, and EXP Services, increasing the contract by $12,614 for increased design services.
