AASD Board Of Education Meeting 02/10/2025 – Will Review Proposed Policy Updates, Middle School Social Studies Material Purchase, K-12 Long Range Library Media Plan

The Appleton Area School District Board of Education is meeting 02/10/2025 at 6PM.

They will be reviewing and discussing updates to three district policies. These policy changes were prompted by an audit the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) was contracted to conduct in 2024.

The first is an update to their policy and records management and retention. This will combine the records retention schedule policy for both personnel and finance into one consolidated policy with updated language.

The second is an update to the access to public records policy. This will update the language of the District’s existing Policy 823, Access to public Records.

The first is an update to the school district legal status policy. This will update the language of the District’s existing Policy 120, School District Legal Status.

They will also be receiving information on the purchase of Middle School Social Studies materials and the District’s Kindergarten through 12^th Grade Long Range Library Media Plan.
