The Municipal Services Committee is meeting 10/07/2024 at 4:30PM. There are five items on the agenda.
The first 4 items are requests to approve the asphalt reconstruction designs for Alexander Street, Bell Avenue, Bellaire Court, and Melrose Avenue. The underground work on these streets is currently scheduled to take place in 2025, and then in 2026 the surfaces would be reconstructed in asphalt.
During the 09/23/2024 Municipal Services Committee meeting, the committee held public hearings for the proposed designs during which residents expressed concerns about the loss of trees, the loss of parking, and accessibility issues during the projects. After those hearings, the items are now being brought forward as action items for a vote.
The fifth item on the agenda is a request to extend the long-term temporary occupancy permit on College Avenue and Drew Street associated with the Trout Museum construction project. Boldt is now asking to keep that in place until 11/22/2024.
