They have one action item on the agenda which is a request to approve converting the City of Appleton’s telephone systems and service to a 5-year agreement with RingCentral telephone service provider. The annual cost is $80,000 along with the implementation fee of $102,000 and a contingency of $27,000 the total first year cost in 2025 for the new system will be no more than $209,000. Were the city to continue with its existing phone system, it would cost it $280,000 total in maintenance and upgrade costs in 2025, so moving to RingCentral will result in $98,000 in savings if the contingency is not used. This change will also facilitate working from home if such is needed.
