Finance Committee Votes To Hold Wheel Tax Resolution Until 08/14/2024 Committee Meeting To Give Opportunity For All 5 Finance Committee Members To Discuss Resolution

The Finance Committee met 07/22/2024. One of the items on the agenda was Resolution 8-R-24 which, if passed, would require a 2/3 supermajority vote by the Common Council to approve changes to the wheel tax.

Two of the committee’s 5 members were absent from the meeting, so Alderperson Chris Croatt (District 14), the author of the resolution, asked that it be held until the next meeting of the Finance Committee. Although he would have liked to discuss it that day, he wanted to have all five members of the committee to be able to participate in the discussion.

The request to hold was approved by a vote of 3-0 and the item will be taken up at the next Finance Committee meeting on 08/14/2024.
