The Safety and Licensing Committee is meeting 05/08/2024.
They will be voting on a number of license applications as well as a request to approve the automatic aid agreement between the City of Appleton and the Little Chute Fire Departments.
The committee will also be meeting with representatives of 4 different establishments that recently received demerit points on their liquor licenses. The Walmart on Calumet Street and the Aldi on Kensington Drive each received 80 demerit points for selling alcohol to minors on March 14th.
The Valley Mobil gas station on South Oneida Street and the Citgo on E Northland Avenue each received 150 demerit points for having gambling machines on the premises, and it would appear that they are each facing a temporary license suspension of between 10 and 90 days.
Finally, the committee will be receiving an update on the 6-month review of the Fire Department’s shared service agreement with Gold Cross Ambulance. Per the report, “We are pleased with the results of the first 6 months operating under this service agreement.”
