The Parks and Recreation Committee and the Finance Committee are each holding special meetings this evening, one at 6:00PM and the other at 6:15PM, prior to the Common Council meeting at 7PM.
Each of the meetings should be short and they will only be engaging in the housekeeping matters of electing vice chairs, electing representatives to serve on other related committees, and setting the meeting date and time.
The Parks and Recreation Committee did not meet last week and so needs to take care of these matters now. The Finance Committee did meet last week, but Alderperson Chris Croatt (District 14) who is a member of the Finance Committee was not able to be present, so they opted to hold off on electing a Vice-Chair until he was able to attend.
