The Utilities Committee is meeting 04/23/2024 at 4:30PM.
Outside of electing a vice-chair, setting a meeting date and time, and designating a contact person, they have one action item on the agenda.
That action item is a request to approve a sole source engineering services contract as part of the 2024 Primary Clarifiers 1-4 Rehabilitation Project for a total of $66,585. McMahon was already awarded the engineering services contract for the Appleton Waste Water Treatment Plant Improvements Project which included improvements to Primary Clarifiers 1 – 4. Per city staff, McMahon provided “quality engineering services” and staff would like to continue working with them on the clarifiers in order to maintain continuity, hence the sole source request.
The committee will also receive two information items including information on another sole source contract awarded to McMahon for $13,685 and the March 2024 Water Main Break Report.
