The City Plan Commission met 08/23/2023. Most of the meeting was taken up with a review of proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance, but the commission also voted to approve two action items.
The first was a petition from Prospera Credit Union for a direct annexation into the City of Appleton of their property at 4704 N Ballard Road. The parcel was 0.9 acres large and is currently located in the Town of Grand Chute. It is located directly south of Prospera’s existing credit union building and was purchased in order to allow for a building expansion. Once annexed into the city, the parcel will be assigned the temporary zoning classification of AG Agricultural District, but the Prospera will be submitting a petition to rezone the property in the near future as part of their plans to develop the parcel.
The second item was a request to approve a certified survey map for land in the Southpoint Commerce Park. Normally certified survey maps are reviewed at a staff level administratively, but this survey map needed to come before the commission because it crosses a plat boundary.
The certified survey map reconfigured and combines five existing parcels into two parcels with a combined size of 30.4 acres. This area of Southpoint Commerce Park was recently sold to F Street Development.
Both items were approved unanimously by the commission with no questions asked. The discussion was so limited that a transcript would not provide any addition information, so I have not prepared one.
