The Appleton Area School District Board of Education is meeting 08/28/2023 at 6PM.
The Board will be voting on professional educator new hires, contract changes, and resignations.
They will also be voting on an educator compensation increase for the 2023-2024 school year. The District is requesting approval of a 5.31% base wage increase and of a one level increase on the Compensation Framework for all eligible staff. The total cost to the District would be approximately $4.9 million.
The Board will also be reviewing and voting to receive the R-1 Mega Result Monitoring Report which tracks whether students are graduation prepared for success in their personal lives, careers, and continuing education, and are committed to lead, care for, and contribute to their community.
Per the report, the 4-year graduation rate for all students is down by 0.7 percentage points from last year, and down by 6.7 percentage points for Black students. However, it is up by 4.2 points for students with disabilities.
