The Library Board is meeting 08/15/2023 at 4:30PM.
Action items include the July 2023 bill register, a budget amendment, and reports from the Nominating Committee and the Personnel and Policy Committee.
As information items, the board will receive an update on the building project and the hiring process. They will also be reviewing a couple second quarter reports.
Finally, they will be undergoing Trustee Development regarding creating a Community/Collaborative Environment. The training seems to be centered around an article entitled “How Memphis Created the Nation’s Most Innovative Public Library”.
[Memphis is well known as a crime-riddled, unsafe city with absurdly high crime rates, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be emulating their public library system.]
