The Finance Committee is holding a special meeting on 06/19/2023 at 5PM to review and vote on a request to approve the bid packages for the Library project.
The taxpayer funded portion of the project was supposed to be no more than $26.4 million, but the final bids have come in approximately $4.5 million higher than that. [Neither of the memos break out what portion of this will be funded by tax dollars and what portion will be funded by private donations.]
Additionally, the committee will be voting on a request to increase the contract fee paid to the architect Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill by around $1.4 million.
