Safety And Licensing Committee Meeting 05/10/2023 – Will Meet With OB’s Brau Haus Owner About Liquor License Violation Related To Semi-Nude Entertainment Incident

The Safety and Licensing Committee is meeting 05/10/2023 at 5:30PM.

The majority of action items are license related, alcohol licenses applications and renewals, change of agent application, cigarette and tabaco applications and renewals, etc.

The item that will probably be the most interesting to the general public is the alcohol license demerit point violation appearance by the owner of OB’s Brau Haus. They recently received 150 demerit points for having a nude/semi-due entertainer on the premises.

The city’s alcohol license rules that went into force in July of 2022, require license holders who accrue between 25 and 149 demerit points within a 24 month period to come before the Safety and Licensing Committee and discuss the efforts they are taking to prevent the issues that resulted in the violations from happening again. Demerit points of 150-199 within a 24 month period actually result in a temporary license suspension.
