Human Resources And Information Technology Committee Meeting 04/12/2023 – Will Vote On Reorganization Of Public Works And Community And Economic Development Departments

The Human Resources and Information Technology Committee is meeting this evening, 04/12/2023, at 6:30PM.

They have one action item on the agenda which is a request to approve the Community and Economic Development/Public Works reorganization.

• The city would like to realign the Principal Planners with the Community and Economic Development Department so that they report to the Deputy Director instead of the Director.
• They city would like to move the Inspections Division from being a part of the Department of Public Works to being a part of the Community and Economic Development Department, although there will still be a lot of coordination with DPW/Engineering, Health, and Fire.

The committee will also be receiving a recruitment status report.
